Mazda popsicle problem
Some 2008-2010 Mazda Tribute and Tribute Hybrid vehicles equipped with AWD may exhibit a vibration, rumble/groan, and/or excessive exhaust type noise.
The concern is most noticeable after a cold start in ambient temperatures of approximately –15 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. The noise will eventually diminish once the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature. Revised exhaust hangers and a revised rear propeller shaft which are optimized for extreme cold ambient temperatures are now available to address this concern.

Replace the rear propeller shaft assembly.

Replace all five exhaust hangers.
