Marangoni Retreading Systems extends Ringtread trailer range

Marangoni Retreading Systems has introduced the new RZ Fe 100 pattern, completing its range of Ringtread trailer rings. The new product is designed to meet the demands of this selective market, with high mileage and low fuel consumption characteristics; the Fe part of the product name stands for “fuel economy”.

The RZ Fe 100 profile has been designed to respond to the needs of users in the long-distance segment, travelling on motorways and highways, and consequently with slow and regular tread wear. Specifically, the pattern is suited to intercity express coaches, drive axles on 6×2 units and twin trailer axles that require continuous high-speed operation.

The non-directional, all-position pattern, features four wide longitudinal grooves that provide directional stability. It also includes numerous cross sipes to improve traction on any type of surface and resistance to overheating. Mileage has been increased with a new-concept compound. This also produces exceptional grip, low rolling resistance and lower fuel consumption. The groove depth and wave pattern reduces the risk of penetration by sharp objects (stones), improves water drainage and at the same time significantly reduce road noise, increasing comfort. The arrangement of siping and blocks improves signal distribution, meaning lower noise. Marangoni adds that the new tread reduces rolling resistance and increases mileage within the 14mm tread depth class.

The Ringtread retreading system uses joint-free precured rings that adhere to the casing without tension or deformation of the tread pattern.
