Ford releases new Motorcraft oil for power stroke diesel engines

Ford Motor Co. has introduced Motorcraft Super Duty Diesel Motor Oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C171-F1. The company recommends its use in Ford Power Stroke Diesel engines.

The company says the unique formula was developed after initial Ford testing of the American Petroleum Institute’s newly released category CK-4 diesel motor oil returned unsatisfactory wear results. Ford specification WSS-M2C171-F1 contains additional performance requirements beyond API CK-4 for added engine protection.

Motorcraft Super Duty Diesel Motor Oil is formulated with premium hydroprocessed base oils and unique additive technology necessary to meet WSS-M2C171-F1. This new oil also meets the requirements of Cummins CES20086, Detroit Diesel 93K222, Volvo VDS-4.5 and Mack EOS-4.5.

The Motorcraft Super Duty Diesel Motor Oil meeting WSS-M2C171-F1 is available now from dealers and major retailers in both quarts and five-quart jugs.
