Exide Launches New Battery Finder App

Exide Launches New Battery Finder App

Exide Technologies, a leading global provider of stored electrical energy solutions, has launched a new Battery Finder app. It uses Exide’s best-in-class fitment information, allowing users to quickly determine the right battery for their vehicles.

The new version will replace Exide’s existing Battery Finder app, and comes with enhanced graphics, improved user-friendliness, significant performance enhancements and a slick new design. Motorbike and scooter batteries also are now searchable in the app, which covers more than 5,000 makes and models.

Exide’s Battery Finder app is available on iOS and Android, and works on both smartphones and tablets. The same fitment information also is available through the company’s printed catalogues and Online Battery Finder, available at www.exide.com.

All of Exide’s fitment recommendations are selected by a team of specialists and regularly updated as new models come on the market. The Company is a leading original-equipment supplier and has a reputation for quality, accurate fitment information.

The new app has improved search functionality, making it quicker and easier to find the right battery. Users can search by vehicle registration, make and model, and other criteria, depending on vehicle type. The app has been optimised for high-definition displays, offers enhanced one-click navigation, and includes a series of performance improvements, including faster server response times.

The Exide Battery Finder app is used by workshops, retailers, distributors and end-users doing DIY replacement. For all of these users, it is vital that the data is accurate, easily accessible and up to date. This is especially the case for roadside assistance firms that can only take a limited number of batteries on the road.

“Exide introduced the market’s first battery app in 2011, giving customers access to our best-in-class fitment information on the go,” said Michael Ostermann, President EMEA at Exide Technologies. “The newly released app is even better, with improved design and typography, support for high-definition displays, and the introduction of motorbike and scooter fitment information.”

Exide has an extensive range of batteries for light vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorbikes and scooters – all accessible through the company’s app, Online Battery Finder and printed catalogues. To download the app, visit the App Store or Google Play and search for “Exide Battery Finder”. Users of the old version of the app will receive a notification inviting them to download the new version.
