NGK racer set for new endurance series

The NGK RaciNGK team is gearing up for the start of the new 2016 German VLN endurance season after enjoying a highly successful debut season last year.

The ignition specialist entered a Ferrari 458 Challenge in the VLN’s SP8 category in 2015, winning the final two races and taking second place in three more. This year the team is aiming to achieve even greater things when the new season starts in April.

Marko Wowczyna, Automotive Director, NGK Spark Plugs said, “Racing and endurance racing have always been in NGK’s DNA demonstrating our expertise as an ignition and sensor specialist.” He adds, “The VLN endurance series is one of the greatest racing series worldwide. Again in 2016, our VLN racing car features spark plugs and sensors from NGK and NTK and puts them through the ultimate test. With each new race, our products demonstrate their technological performance under maximum competitive pressure.”
