INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AUTO SHOW COMTRANS’15 is the main event in the field of commercial motor vehicles

Since the beginning of February 2015, the owner of COMTRANS is ITEMF Ехро JSC; its shareholders are Messe Frankfurt RUS GmbH (a subsidiary structure of German exhibition company Messe Frankfurt GmbH) and ITE Expo LLC (a subsidiary company of the international group of companies ITE Group) in equal shares.

Organizers of COMTRANS trade show are Nonprofit Partnership Association of Russian Automakers (NP OAR) and ITEMF Ехро JSC.

The event is supported by the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

On September 8 – 12, 2015 in IEC Crocus Expo, there will be the major event of 2015 in the field of commercial motor vehicles – INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AUTO SHOW COMTRANS’15.

As the most successful show of commercial motor vehicles in Russia, COMTRANS gives the leading global and domestic manufacturers of commercial motor vehicles an opportunity to display their achievements at the largest exhibition venue in Eastern Europe – in IEC Crocus Expo.

COMTRANS has been included in the official schedule of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA). Since 2011, it is held every two years in odd years alternating with IAA in Hannover.

In 2015, the exhibition area will exceed 30,000 square meters;

More than 300 companies manufacturing commercial motor vehicles, components and spare parts from Russia, CIS and European and Asian countries;

Expected number of attendees is more than 30,000 specialists of the motor transport sector.

Among the exhibitors, the following leading companies will display their achievements:

KAMAZ, GAZ Group, Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, JSC «Mercedes - Benz Rus», Scania, MAN, DAF, Citroen, IVECO, Ford, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Chrysler-FIAT, Sollers-ISUZU, Hyundai, FUSO and many others.

Traditionally, a great section of the show is dedicated to trailer-type machinery:

Commercial vehicle show schedule

The official media day at COMTRANS'15 is on September 07, Monday (only accredited media representatives are allowed). As a part of the media day schedule, there will be an opportunity to capture the most striking premiers of commercial motor vehicles, as well as to familiarize oneself with previews of the most interesting things that will take place during 5 days of the show.

The solemn opening ceremony will take place on September 08, at noon. When arranging the show, its organizers assign particular importance to formation of the extensive Business Program (the Business Program of the commercial vehicle show shall be defined by 01.06.2015 – follow our news on the show website).

As a part of COMTRANS’15, it is scheduled to hold some business events, hands-on workshops and conferences with participation of the leading experts of the motor transport sector that will involve issues concerning manufacturing and operation of commercial vehicles, leasing and recycling issues, transportation safety, as well as main trends of development of the “cargo” market in Russia, and many other issues.

The 15th annual ceremony of awarding winners of the contest  «The best commercial vehicle of the year in Russia» will be the key event of the show. It will be held during the media day on September 07, 2015. It is the first competition of such kind in Russia that has acquired the status of the most reputable competition during its long-lasting existence. Every year, the leading global and domestic manufacturers of trucks, buses, vans that are officially sold and operating on the territory of the RF contest for the right to become the prize-winner of the contest “Russia’s the Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year”. The contest jury is comprised of reputable journalists of specialized Russian periodicals dedicated to motor transport issues.
