Goodyear tyres OE on Range Rover Sport

Jaguar Land Rover has chosen the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV as an original equipment fitment on the Range Rover Sport. This latest homologation builds on a series of original equipment tyre supply deals that include fitments for the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport.

“The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tyre was a natural fit to complement the all-terrain performance of the latest Range Rover Sport,” comments Hans Vrijsen, marketing director Goodyear Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We have worked with Jaguar Land Rover for many years on several fitments…We are proud of our fitment on the Range Rover Sport 2014.”

According to Goodyear, fitment of the OE-approved Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV complements the Range Rover Sport’s on-road dynamics and agile handling: “The tyre offers cornering control so pressure is evenly distributed and road contact is maximised when cornering at a speed. It also provides improved handling on wet roads versus its predecessor via an asymmetric design that increases contact with the road surface and channels water to prevent aquaplaning. Finally the tread pattern reduces noise for a quieter, more comfortable drive to match the luxurious interior of the car.”
