Goodyear adds new retread sizes to KMax portfolio

The KMax range of mileage-oriented truck tyres from Goodyear has been extended with the addition of several retreaded products. New arrivals include a pair of KMax sizes in the TreadMax mould cure line-up and two pre-cure treads for Goodyear’s UniCircle portfolio.

The additions to the TreadMax KMax D line cover the sizes 295/60R22.5 and 315/60R22.5. Goodyear says that, as is the case for all TreadMax mould cure retreads, the new drive tyres are exclusively retreaded on Goodyear casings that feature the latest MAX-Technology and they therefore offer comparable performance to that provided by new Goodyear tyres. The tread patterns used are the same as on the corresponding new tyres. All TreadMax mould cure retreads are retreaded by Goodyear at its three European mould cure retreading facilities – Wolverhampton, Riom (France) and Wittlich (Germany).

The new ring-shaped KMax D treads for the UniCircle pre-cure retread range are available in sizes 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5. These treads feature the same tread pattern as the corresponding new tyre design and are said to offer higher mileage and comparable wear patterns as the previous-generation UniCircle RHD II. The UniCircle KMax D can be retreaded upon all brands of casing using Goodyear’s patented pre-cure retreading technology.
