Nissan MIL
This TSB applies to all Nissan vehicles equipped with a Key Slot for an Intelligent Key. DTC B2190 (NATS ANTENNA AMP) can be stored for the following reasons:
- Something other than an Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key Slot.
- An Intelligent Key issue.
- A wiring issue between the Key Slot and the BCM.
- A Key Slot issue.
If DTC B2190 is stored due to 1 or 2 above, it will not erase, or go to “PAST,” until a known good registered Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key Slot. For DTC diagnosis, first perform the service manual DTC Confirmation procedure.
SERVICE MANUAL DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
- Perform DTC confirmation procedure 1
- Insert the Intelligent Key into the Key Slot (making sure to use a known good registered Intelligent Key)
- Check “Self-diagnostic result” using CONSULT-III plus.
- If the DTC is detected, go to “Diagnosis Procedure” in the service manual. If no DTC is detected, go to Step 2.
- PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE 2
- Press the push-button ignition switch.
- Check “Self-diagnostic result” using CONSULT-III plus. If the DTC is detected, go to “Diagnosis Procedure” in the service manual. If the DTC is not detected, the inspection is done.
