Nissan MIL

This TSB applies to all Nissan vehicles equipped with a Key Slot for an Intelligent Key. DTC B2190 (NATS ANTENNA AMP) can be stored for the following reasons:

Something other than an Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key Slot.
An Intelligent Key issue.
A wiring issue between the Key Slot and the BCM.
A Key Slot issue.

If DTC B2190 is stored due to 1 or 2 above, it will not erase, or go to “PAST,” until a known good registered Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key Slot. For DTC diagnosis, first perform the service manual DTC Confirmation procedure.

SERVICE MANUAL DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Perform DTC confirmation procedure 1

Insert the Intelligent Key into the Key Slot (making sure to use a known good registered Intelligent Key)
Check “Self-diagnostic result” using CONSULT-III plus.
If the DTC is detected, go to “Diagnosis Procedure” in the service manual. If no DTC is detected, go to Step 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE 2

Press the push-button ignition switch.
Check “Self-diagnostic result” using CONSULT-III plus. If the DTC is detected, go to “Diagnosis Procedure” in the service manual. If the DTC is not detected, the inspection is done.
