Bosch’s new spark plug packaging includes trilingual product information

Robert Bosch LLC is redesigning the packaging for its Double Platinum and Platinum OE Fine Wire Spark Plugs. The new design includes product information in English, Spanish and Canadian French.

“Our new and simplified packaging design is based on extensive market research of our customers in North America,” says Eunice Marriott, director of spark plugs for the North American aftermarket.

“Several hundred interviews were conducted with individuals who had personally replaced spark plugs or intended to replace them. Overall, those interviewed said the new, proposed packaging changes were an improvement and would inspire a decision to purchase,” she says.

According to Marriott, the design changes include modification of the front-facing image for increased visual interest. Also included is easy-to-read information on product features and benefits with the text in three languages – English, Spanish and Canadian French – for use across North America.

The packaging design also incorporates the Bosch global quality color scheme with dark blue for Double Platinum plugs and light blue for Platinum plugs.

The company says the Bosch Double Platinum Spark Plug is engineered for extended performance and durability. The OE fine wire platinum design delivers optimum fit and function for three times the service life of standard copper core plugs. It comes pre-gapped from the factory, is built to meet OE specifications, includes precious metal in both the ground and center electrodes, and features an advanced ceramic insulator and an electro-plated coating on the shell.
