Messe Frankfurt and ZEIT publishing subsidiary Convent to hold ‘ZEIT Conference on Logistics & Mobility’ in Frankfurt am Main on 24 November 2015

Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH and Convent Kongresse GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ZEIT Publishing Group, have formed a strategic partnership to develop the subjects of logistics and mobility at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre in the long term. Within the framework of this collaboration, Messe Frankfurt and the ZEIT Publishing Group will hold the 3rd ZEIT Conference on Logistics & Mobility at the new ‘Kap Europa’ congress centre on 24 November 2015. The main theme of the conference is the increasing digitalisation and interconnectedness of transport, traffic and infrastructure. The conference, which leading representatives of business, science and politics are expected to attend, will be supplemented by a special exhibition on the subject of ‘Intelligent Traffic Systems’. The German Traffic Forum and the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) support the event as Cooperation Partners.

“For Messe Frankfurt, the expansion of our activities in the ‘Mobility & Infrastructure’ field of business is of great strategic significance. Now, with the ZEIT Conference on Logistics & Mobility, we are able to offer our customers a new format in this sector, which is of great importance for Germany as an industrial nation. Together with our powerful partners, we aim to build up the event into an international platform”, says Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “With Messe Frankfurt, we have found the right partner to further develop our ZEIT Conference on Logistics & Mobility as a socially and politically relevant discussion forum”, says Convent CEO Dr Mark Schiffhauer.

Emphasising this, Thomas Hailer, CEO of the German Traffic Forum, says, “We are delighted to have found a platform suitable in terms of content for our Intelligent Mobility plan of action. Together, we can create a forum for the critical exchange of information on the digital transformation of business, society and transport.”
