Essen Motor Show 2014: Europe's Leading Fair for Sporty Vehicles

Every single year, a globally unique mixture of a horsepower party and a performance show takes place at Messe Essen. In 2014 as well, the signs will be set to full speed: The Essen Motor Show, Europe's leading fair for sporty vehicles, will congregate over 500 exhibitors in its halls from November 29 (November 28: Preview Day) to December 7.

The companies and the associations will present everything coveted by the visitors' hearts: sporty series automobiles, tuning, motorsport, classics cars and motorbikes. Up to 360,000 expected fans will make the Essen Motor Show Germany's automobile fair with the highest number of visitors this year.

In 2014 too, highlights will be provided by the special shows, above all by the exhibition entitled "Formula 1 Made in Germany". It will display the success story of German racing cars, drivers and engines in the elite class of automobile sport using around 15 vehicles as examples: from the Silver Arrow in which the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio drove to the title in 1954 to the car of the World Champion Sebastian Vettel from 2010. Another highlight: the special show about automobile design with concept cars, prototypes and studies from the best-known styling companies and automobile manufacturers worldwide. The participants will include Citroën, Fuore Design, Italdesign Giugiaro, Hyundai, IED, Lazareth, Peugeot, Rinspeed, Sbarro and Zenvo.

Showtime: Ford-Werke with the Premiere of the New Mustang at a German Fair

In 2014 as well, the automobile industry will use the Essen Motor Show for presentation purposes. The exhibitors will include two of the world's leading manufacturers of sporty automobiles, i.e. BMW and Daimler. In Essen, Ford will unveil the new Mustang in front of the public at a German fair for the first time. As a premiere in Germany, Skoda will display the new Fabia Combi. Moreover, Peugeot, Citroën Motorsport and Renault Motorsport will take part. Furthermore, Continental, one of the world's leading tyre manufacturers, will go to the starting line at the Essen Motor Show. ADAC ("General German Automobile Club") wiIl once again be the ideal sponsor of the event and will also be represented with a booth.

The subject of professional tuning will be covered by numerous members of Verband der Automobil Tuner (VDAT - "Association of Automobile Tuners"), e.g. ABT Sportsline, Borbet and H&R Spezialfedern.For numerous racing series, motorsportsmen and motorsportswomen, the Essen Motor Show will form the festive conclusion to the season. The racing series officially going to the starting line at the fair will include the ADAC Bördesprint Cup, the ADAC Truck Grand Prix, the DTM, the FIA European Touring Car Cup and the Rundstrecken Challenge Nürburgring. Furthermore, a large number of active and former motorsportsmen and motorsportswomen traditionally gather in the fair halls -quite a few of them laid the foundation stones for their careers at the Essen Motor Show in the past. Spectacular live action will be ensured as well: In the DMAX Motorsport Arena in Hall 7, it will once again be all action every day. Amongst other highlights, the drift artists of the Europe-wide Gymkhana Drift Cup will stage their final there.

Crowd-Puller tuningXperience Will Display Over 100 Vehicles from Private Tuners

Last year, the tuningXperience proved to be a crowd-puller at the Essen Motor Show and, according to a survey, was the absolute number one in the visitors' favour. This year, over one hundred private tuners will present their modified vehicles in Hall 12, including the leading protagonists on the worldwide and national scenes. Talking shop with the visitors to the fair will be part of the fun for a lot of them in this case. In addition to the tuningXperience, the Hella Show & Shine Award will also be devoted to the private tuners: Ten owners prevailed in a preliminary selection round with their vehicles and will now present their cars at the Essen Motor Show. Who will win in the end will be decided by the visitors who will be able to vote for their favourites in situ or on line.

Oldtimers & Classic Cars: Special Show About 80 Years of Jaguar

Oldtimer friends will also have a great time in Essen: S.I.H.A., organiser of the Classic and Prestige Salon in Hall 1, will serve up an exclusive special show: "Jubilee Preview: 80 Years of Jaguar Sporting History 1935-2015" will be the motto. There, the visitors will be given a foretaste of the anniversary of the British noble make which was successful in motorsport as well.

PS Speed Bike Show with the Needle at the Limit

The Motorbike area will score points, amongst others, with the manufacturer Horex,the tuning forge triplespeed headquarters and Deutsches Customizer Scooter Sprint Comitee. In addition, the PS Speed Bike Show will gather modified bikes from private ownership in individual designs and with, in part, breathtaking speeds. The live conversion of a motorbike during the fair will demonstrate the path from the series model to the extravangantly modified one-off.

Meeting Place of the Expert World: Sponsors Motorsport Summit and Race Night

For the third time, the Sponsors Motorsport Summit will take place at the Essen Motor Show. In the Congress Center Essen on November 28, the who's who of the motorsport business sector will meet up for the exchange of ideas and for networking. In this respect, discussions and forums with a high-class cast of international and national speakers will examine the motorsport world from different perspectives. Thereafter, the sports cars and racing drivers of the year will be honoured at the Race Night.
